There’s something surreal about tonight. Krystel is putting up Christmas decorations on our Apartment tree, and I’m reading over some photo blogs putting together some new cards.
There’s something that makes all of it more special being in an apartment too. I always picture myself somewhere else. Just like right now – rather than being in my Apartment in Lewisville – I picture us on the 25th floor of our apartment looking over the big city skyline. A house is going to be great, I’m appreciating where we are now though.
All that together makes it a pretty special night. Now we just need some REAL cookies, because these scented candles are too enticing!

Okay so @KrystelFleming and I are feeling a bit strange BEING at a wedding this weekend. No shooting, heck – I don’t even have any responsibilities!
That’s okay with me though – I’ll be out doing some different shooting, though this will be in a caliche pit and we won’t be using cameras!
Just to leave you with at least a couple images. not too high and dry.
You guys seen some shots from our last Shutter Storm trip? They’re pretty rockstar actually.
Props out to our students Erica May, Trung, Chi, Hung, & Jeff! Yall were great and we are proud of all you guys!

Dallas got her first cold snap today. Woke up this morning to 50º weather this morning, turned on the heat.
Sitting on the back porch of our 3rd floor apartment I can hear smoke alarms going off all through the complex as people turn up the heat for the first time since February. I love that smell though, I guess that’s a bit strange. Burt dust? It just smells like winter.
We usually go all out for Christmas, last year we put up decorations at the beginning of October, this year i’ve alredy made chex mix and bought a sugar cookie candle.
What am I looking for tonight? It’s nice taking it slow – but I’m so used to going 110mph it’s hard to slow down – honestly? I’d like to go grab a drink with some friends and call it a night out on the town.
I’m headed out to Trophy Club later tonight to meet up with Taylor & Mike, and Randen with his wife. Looking forward to it too!
Ahh, 50º, you couldn’t have come at a better time!

Ever come across a photo that was so good it made you want to cuss? Really?! How’d they do that! That’s sooooo coooool!
I have, frustrated too because I want to find this photographer and stalk them until they reveal all their secrets, then we’ll become best buddies and they’ll always be nice to me because I’ll KNOW, and if they’re not nice then I’ll tell, or i’ll brainwash them and take their ideas from them.
Maybe it’s because my band-spankin’ new macbook pro is at the genius bar right now and i’m blogging on a public computer that’s got me all worked up. I’ll bet that’s it.

Okay, so a cold front in texas actually means that we’re only getting up to 90º today! Doesn’t sound like much to you northern readers, but listen when I say that is a huge difference!
Regardless I was meeting Downtown Ft. Worth last night for another Shutter Storm Meeting with Jason Ward. The sky was stunning, absolutely beautiful. We stood on the 4th story of the parking garage off 3rd street and watch the skyline rush by with deep blues and purples – amazing dramatic lighting.
“I wish I had a couple with me now, this would be an amazing shoot”
He agreed with me.
15 min later sitting in starbucks discussing ********** (I can’t talk about this yet, but it’s going to rock your world). The sky ripped open with a chest shaking crash and poured down rain. What a beautiful sight. There’s nothing like a good rainstorm. As we sat and talked, laughing, planning, encouraging we thought out loud to eachother
“I’m glad we don’t have that couple with us now!”
We could have made the best of it of course, but it’s funny how these things can turn around so quickly.

Things are getting much busier these days. Much busier, and I need a way to organize my life. Up till now iCal has worked pretty well, but I’m not sure what to use past this. Here is the plan so far.
Morning:
5:30am – Bible Study.
5:50am – 1-2 Mile Run, depending on my knees
6:30am – Shower, Coffee, Breakfast (for Kris & I)
7:10am – 30 Min Study Time
7:40am – 20 Min Blogging (alternate CalebF & Shutter Storm Blogs)
8:00am – Brush Teeth, Journal (if more ideas than on the blog)
8:30am – Leave for work
Daytime:
Maximize work, cut out time-wasters (pull-up competitions, facebook…)
Evening:
6:40 – Get Home
7:00 – Dinner & Unwind
7:40 – CalebF Emails
8:00 – CalebF Marketing
8:30 – Time with the family.
There are some really exciting things happening around CalebF Photography that I can’t talk about yet – but as I get information I’ll be posting it for you.
Something very big. Subscribe, I’ll keep you in the loop!
btw. kris & I are rockstars. didn’t you know?
